Update

Author: Administrator
Category: Thursday Thirteen

I’m sorry I haven’t been on here much lately. I’ve been having a lot of health challenges.

The good news: No problems with C DIF since I finished my medication in December, and they didn’t find anything wrong on any of my blood work.

The bad news: The reactive arthritis is still going strong, and could be here for 12-18 months.

They gave me some steroids last weekend to help with the inflammation, and that helped bring the pain down from a 9/10 to around a 1 or a 2. But being in near-constant pain for the past 7 months has just really ground me down emotionally and mentally, as well as physically. It’s hard not to go to the dark place in my thoughts when I feel so bad for so long.

So I’m currently spending all my time trying to figure out how to waterproof my computer, my knitting, and all my books so I can live in the bathtub, as the water helps take all the pressure off my joints.

Any good thoughts would be much appreciated :)

anything that brings down the pain from a 9 to 1 or 2 has gotta rock. Thank goodness for that. Wow. that’s just some seriously bad comfortness.

But you will persevere! I know how you feel though (not quite as painful, just about though), and about posting. crazy. chin up now, let’s be gung ho!

I’m sorry that you’re suffering from inflammation.

I don’t know if I already mentioned this, but there are proteins in certain foods that can cause inflammation. Wheat is one such food.

The Blood Type diet helped me with joint pains that I started to get a couple of years ago. There’s also an Arthritis protocol by the same doctor that created the blood type diet:

There’s an introduction to the Blood Type diet here:

Also, have you tried adding Epsom Salts to your bath?

Good luck and good health to you!

Bless you. I don’t know if it will do any good, but I’m praying for you. I love your posts, so thanks for writing when you’re up to it.

The difference between great people and everyone else is that great people create their lives actively, while everyone else is created by their lives, passively waiting to see where life takes them next. The difference between the two is the difference between living fully and just existing.
