My New Addiction (Like I Needed Any More)

Author: Administrator
Category: Cool Stuff

So today I was clicking through the blog posts that appeared on my Blog Rush widget, and I saw one entitled, “I can fill that bowl in six words or less” by Cardiogirl.

She is talking about the site called Free Rice. It’s a vocabulary game, and for each word you define correctly (they give you four choices to pick from) they donate 10 grains of rice through the United Nations to help end world hunger.

Hey Jenny! Thanks for the shout out! I love the phrase Word Nerd. I’m thinking of embroidering it on a T-shirt, except I have no idea how to embroider. It’s still a fun idea, though.

I visited this site at your suggestion. Way too addictive.

I liked filling the bowl. I must admit, however, that for some stupid reason when I encountered a word that I didn’t know… I wanted to CHEAT. lol. How pathetic is that?? I hate having a competitive nature.

hmmmmmm situational ethics question… how do we feel about cheating if it feeds people????????
