I enjoyed watching the videos of concert footage of the doors, led zeppelin, um, madonna (to be honest), etc. I think the message was subliminal, though, as you mentioned, today I don't know what it was. But I do remember feeling strangely uncomfortable when videos by The Thompson Twins came on. We got MTV from day 1 (the next door neighbor was the local cable guy).
