LOLLOL... your bookstore story reminds me of a friend who used to work at a Christian bookstore. One day a woman came in and said she was looking for a specific book, but she couldn't remember the title or the author. But... she DID remember "it was blue and it was about Jesus."

Jenny,

This had me rolling! and i remember having good stories too..unfortunately the only one I'm (frequently!) reminded of by my family is the time when I was a social worker on the Alzheimer floor of a nursing home..my first day some woman kept yelling and trying to get people's attention - she finally cornered me and said: "Hey YOU! yes, you - you're not as stupid as you look!" - what a blow to my now-I've-got-a-big-girl-job pride!

OK, I will admit I am one of those freaks that change my kids diapers on the floor in some secluded spot of the store... unfortunately the floor is more sanitary than the changing tables in the bathroom, if there is one. ;)

I can totally relate... when I worked as a nurse I used to have so many funny stories involving bodily functions and fluids.

Well, I guess I still tell stories that include bodily functions... they are just about kids now. :D

I love this story about your coworker~

That is one thing that I miss about living here in Colorado...I don't get to have the exposre that I did when I lived in the San francisco Bay Area.

My friend Deanna and I used to hang out alot in the bars where the transvestites and transexuals hung out...I became friends with many of them. I loved being with these people. Their experiences where so interesting and different from mine. I was also sort of retarded when it came to being a girl! They seemed to know more about it then I did. So, we would have all sorts of great conversations about Divine feminine and shaving your legs!

I miss those days sometimes and I wish there were more of that energy here....but here...it is totally white bread, middle america and sorta conservative. What the hell did I move here for again?
